Roast: Medium

Our Asian Plateau coffee beans are a a medium roast and can include coffee blended together from the Bolaven Plateau in Laos, Timor, India, Papua New Guinea, Sulawesi and Sumatra.

A medium roast containing blended coffees of Southeast Asia offering herbal flavor notes and a heavy body. This coffee offers consistent flavor, a strong aroma and is best as a hot coffee drink. Grown under the full sun with washed processing that is environmentally friendly.

The modern culture of Southeast Asian coffee truly began when the Dutch brought coffee to Java, a part of Indonesia. However, Javanese coffee has undergone many changes since then. Rust disease devastated the Arabica crop in the 19th century, forcing Javanese coffee farmers to switch to Robusta.  In recent years, coffee estates have popped up, using Dutch equipment and methods, to try and bring Java coffee back to its roots. Many of the most famous and coveted Indonesian coffees, like Sumatran and Sulawesi coffee, are produced on small Indonesian farms using the wet hull method called Giling Basah.

Our freshly roasted coffee is sealed in our signature black bags and then nitrogen flushed to preserve it's peak freshness. Tasting just as if it were roasted in your own home, you will never go back to boring grocery store coffee again.

Brewing Methods:

Use clean, cold, fresh, chemical-free water that has been filtered preferably. Add 2 rounded Tbsps. per every 8 ozs of water. Grind coffee fresh to match your brewing method. The brew water should be around 200 degrees F (93 degrees C). Keep brewing equipment clean. Store coffee beans and grounds in an airtight container away from light, heat, and moisture.

  • One 12 oz bag = about 25-30 8 oz cups of coffee
  • One 5 lb bag = 180 8 oz cups of brewed coffee

MAKE IT A COLD BREW!

In an airtight jar, combine 1 cup of ground coffee with 4 cups of cold water. Steep for 12 to 18 hours in the refrigerator.
